“Think Fast,” a 30-second spot slated for the fourth quarter of the game, introduces a character that will star in Hyundai’s social media efforts named Bob. In this vignette, a young professional is driving his boss, Bob, a seasoned business pro, in his Genesis Coupe R-Spec. Bob is about to deliver a pearl of wisdom when he falls unconscious. The young driver hits the brakes hard, then throws his Genesis Coupe into drive repeatedly, generating enough force to revive Bob, at which time he delivers his piece of advice unphased by his apparent health scare.

The Cola Wars are back on. PepsiMax’s commercial for the Super Bowl makes a cute, playful jab at Coke Zero. Is it a bird…a plane? If you live in NYC and think you may have seen a flying human above the Manhattan Skyline recently – well, you’re not hallucinating. How can he handle work on a day like today? Ferris Bueller is back — and this time, he’s driving a Honda. As Jalopnik reported last week, Honda was indeed behind the 10-second teaser video that was put up on YouTube, and the carmaker has now released a 2-minute, extended version of the ad that will appear during the Super Bowl this Sunday.

In the clip, out of agency RPA, Matthew Broderick celebrates the launch of the 2012 Honda CR-V by playing truant and calling in sick to his agent (sound familiar?). Then, he goes off and lives it up. According to Honda, there are over two dozen movie references hidden throughout the Todd Phillips-directed commercial.
